Spoiler Warning.

... should have been the title of Will Smith's latest film - I am Legend - as the film does not deserve to be bear this Richard Matheson title as it does not bear any resemblance to any of themes that were well conceived and effectively delivered by the book, except some vague likeness to the setting. Every thought provoking scene, every ethical question, every psychological battle - gone.
I would have written a longer, paragraph-based review of this film, but I didn't think it deserved such, and I will deprive it of a properly written review as it had deprived the book of a proper movie adaptation. The movie perverted the meaning of the title beyond any book-to-movie film I have seen. Hollywood deprives people of the opportunity to watch and think at the same time, as it almost always try to turn a thought provoking story into a every-thing's-gonna-be-fine-and-have-a-happy-ending -so-just-sit-back-and-relax. They are afraid that people would sit down for a moment after a movie ends and ponder about what they have seen. They think people would not appreciate that. They want it that you go out thinking, 'hmmn.. everything turned out well.. okay, what should I eat?' It's almost brainwashing if I may say.
To sum up how the movie was different from the book here's a table to show quickly:

The movie basically removed anything that leads to a deeper, more meaningful plot. It's just a shame as this title would have been a good movie had it not been for Hollywood's want to make people smile in a heroic tale of a hero who did his hero-duties and saved the world. A big opportunity lost.
The dog was a good actor though, and Will Smith IS still Will Smith. These alone are enough reasons to watch the film. Other than that, not much else.
